About

Anna Carroll studied nursing and medical assisting at the University of Kentucky and worked for a private practice in general and vascular surgery. Following that career path, she transitioned into international work with various NGOs.

In 2009, Anna relocated to Costa Rica helping another local NGO with their children-at-risk program in various provinces of the country. Anna shortly thereafter founded her own NGO, LightForce International (D.B.A. LFI)  in an effort to respond to the growing issue of human trafficking she encountered at the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

Over the past ten years, Anna has implemented numerous initiatives and programs internationally that focus on health, prevention, awareness, and rehabilitation for those suffering from poverty and exploitation.  Today, she is the Global Executive Director for LFI and she travels extensively for the organization as well as speaking and writing on social justice issues globally.
